Cannons were set up here during the Great Nordic War (1700-1721) as the Norwegians feared that the the Swedish army would come this way from Asker to Drammen. However, the Swedes chose a different route! The toughest battles were at Norderhov in Ringerike and Gjellebekk in Lier.
From here it is 5.8km to Slemmestad, 8.6km to Gullaug, 0.5km to Hajum which is the next stop towards Slemmestad and 0.3km to The burial site at Syltingli, the next stop towards Gullaug. Enjoy the walk!
